Since the announcement of the new Streaming Service, Scrybe, and it’s soft launch in June of 2021, many smart artists and management teams are finding themselves switching their marketing strategies and preparing for the new streaming business model to come. 

Cashmase, Rich Rocka in collaboration with the Fresh Establishment brand, are two self sufficient indie artists who have amassed millions of streams and thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify alone. With the Scrybe’s subscriber based business model and use of micro transactions, the artist’s are preparing to convert the nearly 40k combined Spotify monthly listeners into monthly revenue, which could potentially generate an additional 60 thousand dollars a year.

With Scrybe in mind, taking Rich Rocka’s 25,000+ monthly listeners, and converting them over, he’d see $2,500 a MONTH. Every quarter (3 months) he would see $7,500 in revenue, 30k A YEAR on repeat for the remainder of his relevant career.

The same could be said for the artist Cashmase. Each of these artists have strong fan bases on their social media platforms, and would see immediate revenue with this partnership with Scrybe.

Now comes the question, What should an artist do to prepare for Scrybe? Here are some quick tips artists can do to prepare now, prior to Scrybe’s release.

1. Start collecting emails and phone numbers.
1. Using services like mailchimp to collect emails and Fanconnect to collect phone numbers will allow you to blast your fans directly, letting them know where to find you on Scrybe.
2. Get your music ready for the transfer
1. Scrybe offers direct to platform distribution. It costs the artist nothing and will remove the middleman between you and your money.
3. Offer some exclusive music
1. Have a new unreleased track?  Place it on Scrybe first. Get those loyal followers to help create some revenue.
4. Have some free music ready
1. Create some promo music or mixtapes. Usually this music can not be sold, but it can always be uploaded for free. Majority of the new listeners coming to Scrybe will be looking to first explore music without paying. Make sure your music is there to be heard in the free music section of the app.
5. Have your photos ready
1. Your profile is directly controlled on Scrybe, the more professional you look the more you’ll attract a new audience.
6. Pre-register
1. Scrybe is allowing 1k artists and podcasts to upload their music early to the platform, so that when it launches, you’re ahead of the game.
7. Make sure your fans know Scrybe exists and that they can pay less per month by using it.
